KUZIO
Mercedes Analyse Kuzio of Rimbey, Alberta passed away at the Alberta Children's Hospital, Calgary on Friday, July 8, 2011 at the age of 13 years.
Mercedes was born in Mackenzie, B.C. on July 22, 1997. She was a very spirited young lady, and when she set her mind to something, she was very determined to do it. Mercedes was in dance for a couple years and loved it. She also enjoyed the outdoors and activities such as; camping, fishing, catching snakes, turtles and cray fish, quadding, snowmobiling, and swimming. Mercedes also enjoyed plants and flowers. She loved camping and was looking forward to attending Crowsnest Lake Bible Camp on July 7th. Her school activities included volleyball, student council, and SADD. Mercedes did some volunteer work with her mom for banquets, and she was very proud of her first babysitting job and loved taking care of kids. Mercedes was a beautiful young lady with red hair, blue eyes and a smile that would melt your heart!
Mercedes will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her mother, Danielle Kuzio of Rimbey; her two brothers, Dryden and Keagen, both at home; and her sister, Kennedy, also at home. She will also be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her grandparents, Wendy and Brian Corkle of Elko, B.C.; her uncle and aunt, Travis and Sarah Corkle and cousins, Kacie, Avery and Kane Corkle; her great grandfather, Bob Kilgore of Chase, B.C.; the Kuzio Family: Carey, Harv, Linda, Rhonda, and grandparents; and the Bye Family: Peg, Floyd, Nicole and Taylor; as well as numerous other family members and friends. Mercedes was predeceased by her two aunts, Carla and Karen Corkle; two cousins, Tanya Baker and Aymie Roberts; and her great grandparents.
A Public Memorial Service in Celebration of Mercedes' Life was held at the Rimbey Community Centre, Rimbey on Friday, July 15, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Deborah Laing officiating. If friends desire, memorial tributes in Mercedes' Memory may be made directly to the Trust Fund for Mercedes Kuzio, c/o Danielle Kuzio, Scotiabank, Innisfail, Alberta T4G 1S7.
