Miss Myrtle Winnifred Dahms passed away peacefully in the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Sunday February 5, 2012 at the age of 95 years.


Predeceased by her parents, Julius and Anna, sisters, Blanche, Edith, Alida, brothers. Ernest, Leonard, Vernon, Earl and Lloyd. Myrtle is survived by her sister. Elenor Swanson of Red Deer and by numerous nieces and nephews.


Myrtle was a long time resident of Wetaskiwin, Alberta, and was well known in the community, only moving to Red Deer to be closer to family. Her extended family was everything to her. Myrtle loved to know everyone's comings and goings. She had a great memory and always kept you on your toes. She so enjoyed company and often had a tale to tell. She will be missed by all who knew her.


Myrtle's family wishes to send a heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre Area 3 for the tender care she received.


At Myrtle's request, no formal funeral services will be held. Cremation has taken place and an inurnment will take place at Alto Reste Memorial Gardens in Red Deer in the Spring. In Myrtle's memory, take a friend to lunch which was one of her favourite activities.
