DONNELLY
Mrs. Margaret Teresa Donnelly of Rimbey, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre ~ Area Two, Rimbey on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at the age of 93 years. Margaret was born in Glenties, County Donegal, Ireland on June 4, 1918. She went to work in a hospital in Birmingham, England. During World War II, she met and was later united in marriage to Joe Donnelly on March 27, 1943. In October of 1944, Margaret came to Canada with their infant son, Ken, and she lived with Joe's parents until he returned home from the war in August, 1945. Margaret then spent many happy years raising a family of six on the farm west of Bluffton. Margaret will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her two sons, Ken (Kim) Donnelly of Edmonton; and Francis (Avril) Donnelly of Prince George, B.C.; and her four daughters, Linda Doran of Rimbey; Kathleen (Ken) Jaffray of Bluffton; Brenda (Reg) Lukasik of St. Albert; and Bernie (Wilf) Schrage of Calgary; as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will also be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her sisters-in-law, Mary Keeney of Ireland; Marie Olson of Rimbey; Marion Donnelly also of Rimbey; Audrey Donnelly of Camrose; and Leona and Jim Masson of Sherwood Park; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joe in 2009; two brothers, James and Barney of Ireland; and two sisters, Annie (Joe) Van Humbeck of Rimbey; and Mary Rose (George) Boodle of England. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Margaret's Catholic Church, Rimbey on Friday, May 25, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Father Gabriel Udeh, Celebrant. Interment followed in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Bluffton.
