ODENBACH
Murray A. Odenbach of Bentley, Alberta passed away suddenly at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at the age of 66 years.
Murray will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife and best friend of 47 years, Trudy; and his two daughters, Marsha (Stephen) Lush of Bentley; and Janet Odenbach of Red Deer; as well as four cherished grand-children: Hayley (Alex) Hiscocks, Ian, Andrew, and Tanner. He will also be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his three sisters: Charlene (Wayne) Shearer of Vulcan; Carol (Don) Wiebe of Calgary; and Gail (Bill) Matthew of Edmonton; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews, and many cherished friends. Murray was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Melba.
A Public Memorial Service in Celebration of Murray's Life was held at the Blindman Valley Ag Centre, Bentley on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Deborah Laing officiating. Cremation took place at the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer. Interment will take place in the Bentley Cemetery at a later date. If friends desire, memorial tributes in Murray's Memory may be made directly to the Medicine River Wildlife Centre, Box 115, Spruce View, Alberta T0M 1V0

This has been a very difficult time for our family and we would not have had the strength to get through this hardship without the assistance and love from our family and friends. The support we have received has been overwhelming and greatly appreciated. We are so very grateful to be a part of the Bentley community. A special thank you to the Sunset Hills Riding Club for providing the luncheon, Sherry Haarstad for giving a heartfelt eulogy, and Janis Bickford for creating a beautiful PowerPoint that reflected the full life of our wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be dearly missed.
