Nellie B. Wilkins of Bentley, Alberta passed away at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Area Two on Friday, December 30, 2016 at the age of 97 years.
Nellie will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her children: Muriam (Jerry) Jaffray; Rodney (Sharon) Wilkins; and Sandra (Tom) Turnbull; in addition to three sisters: Helen Butcher; Shirley Christiansen; and Evelyn Andrew; as well as many additional relatives, and several dear friends. Nellie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joshua in 1997.
A Private Family Graveside Service was held at the Bentley Cemetery, Bentley on Monday, January 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Greg Rathjen officiating. A Public Memorial Gathering in Celebration of Nellie's Life will take place at the Blindman Valley Ag Centre, Bentley on Saturday, March 4, 2017 beginning at 2:00 p.m. If friends desire, memorial tributes in Nellie's Memory may be made directly to Long Term Care at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, c/o Administration, Box 440, Rimbey, Alberta T0C 2J0.
