Patricia "Pat" May Wall of Rimbey, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Monday, September 29, 2014 at the age of 81 years.
Patricia, the fourth child of six, was born in Delisle, Saskatchewan and was raised in Vanscoy, where her family operated the General Store. She completed her high school at Choiceland, Saskatchewan where they farmed the family homestead and later ran the International Harvester dealership. In 1957, Pat received her Psychiatric Nursing degree from the Weyburn Hospital, and in the same year she was united in marriage to John Wall in Saskatoon. Together they made their start in Pontrilas, Saskatchewan and were the proprietors of the Pontrilas Hotel. After a short time in Prince Albert, they then established their home in Yellowknife, N.W.T., where Pat was the Medical Supervisor at the Federal Correctional Centre. She was a generous, vibrant, and independent woman who people naturally gravitated to for company, advice and great conversation! Pat cherished her family above all, and it was lovingly returned. She retired in her beloved Saskatoon; tending her garden, painting, and attending music and art productions. Pat spent her last decade in Alberta, close to her three girls and their families.

Pat will be lovingly remembered by her three daughters, Shelly (Bob) Duchesne of Bluffton; Gaelynn Wall (Miles Dube) of Fort Saskatchewan; and Erin Wall (Peter Broere) of Bluffton; as well as seven cherished grandchildren. She will also be lovingly remembered by her three sisters, Geneva Gibson of La Ronge, Saskatchewan; Joan Sanders of Logan Lake, B.C.; and Ester (Ron) Richards of Armley, Saskatchewan; in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Pat was predeceased by her parents, William and Verna Sanders; and one brother, Vernon Sanders.
With respect for Pat's wishes, no formal funeral service will take place. A Family Service will be held at a later date. Cremation took place at the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer.
