Peter Warta

With sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Peter Warta of Rimbey, Alberta. Peter passed away at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at the age of 93 years.
Peter will be forever remembered by his loving wife and best friend of 70 years, Jean; his son John Warta of Red Deer; and his three daughters Hilary Warta of Rimbey; Trudy Warta (Leonard Thorne) of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia; and Jane (Ad) Vos also of Rimbey; in addition to nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and six great, great grandchildren. He will also be lovingly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends located in the Netherlands as well as in Canada. Peter was predeceased by his parents Geertruida and Jan Warta; two brothers Jan and David; and three sisters Gees, Griete, and Annie.
A public Memorial Service in Celebration of Peter's Life will be held at the Rimbey Christian Reformed Church on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Ken Vanderploeg officiating.
Interment will follow in the Columbarium at the West Haven Cemetery, Rimbey.
