Peter Washkevich

Peter Washkevich of Rimbey, Alberta passed away at the Rocky Mountain House Health Centre on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at the age of 82 years.
Peter was born on the family farm on January 19, 1940, to his parents Konon and Elizabeth Washkevich. He was united in marriage to Sandra Cummings on November 6, 1964, and together they enjoyed 57 years of marriage. They were blessed with three children Paul, Greg, and Tracy. Peter farmed west of Rimbey, retiring in 1994. They then moved to the Centerview area, north of Leslieville, until his passing.
Peter is survived by his loving wife Sandra; and his three children Paul (Susan) Washkevich of Rocky Mountain House; Greg (Noreen) Washkevich of Ponoka; and Tracy (Bob) Dennis of Valleyview; as well as eight cherished grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Mary Lablanc, Nena Rowat, and Nadia Papp; in addition to several nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many good friends. Peter was predeceased by his parents Konon and Elizabeth; and his brother Mike.
A public Funeral Service will be held at the Leedale Community Hall on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Marco Ste-Marie officiating. Interment will follow in the West Haven Cemetery, Rimbey.
