Robin “Torky” G. Torkelson of Winfield, Alberta passed away peacefully, following a brief, but courageous battle with cancer, at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Rimbey on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at the age of 55 years. He was a fighter and fought until the end. Robin was born in Bengough, Saskatchewan on September 4, 1958. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Robin leaves to mourn his passing, his loving partner, Sandy Walker; his five children: Myla (Darren), Jesse (Tiffany), Cody (Melissa), Kyle, and Colt; four stepchildren: Jennifer (Alton), Chrissy (Bill), Patrick (Kelsey), and Morgan (Marie); as well as sixteen grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Mavis; one sister, Bunny (Rod); his mother-in-law, Dorothy (Les); and his brother-in-law, Brent (Tracy); in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many treasured friends.
