Rudolf "Rudy" Walter Brzus

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Rudolf Walter Brzus, known to most as Rudy, on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the age of 90 years. Rudy was born in Minnehik, Alberta to parents, Janina and Leon, and shared his childhood with his sister Lucy.
He met the love of his life and on April 10, 1959 Rudy and Vera were united in marriage. Together, they worked very well and very hard on their farm. In their nearly 56 years of marriage, their beautiful memories would be developed by their remarkable love for one another and their family.
Rudy will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his children, Cathy (Wade) Matkea, Karen (Melvin) Becker and Doug (Janey) Brzus; grandchildren, Kylie (Marius) Nerland, Kevin (Katie) Becker, Amanda White (Grady Morin), Angela (Jim) Roxborough and Donnie Brzus and great-grandchildren, Layne and Shalyn White, Sully Becker and Hugh Roxborough.
Memories of Rudy will continue in the hearts of his many friends, neighbours, his community and extended family. Rudy was predeceased by his wife, Vera; son, Wayne; sister, Lucy and parents, Janina and Leon.
Rudy's life will be celebrated and honoured at Buck Lake Community Centre on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Kevin Rowland officiating.
Interment will follow at Siegel Hill Cemetery. Rudy's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the First Responders, Constable MacIntosh, Pastor Kevin Rowland, and Sandra Glenn and the Ladies of Ponderosa City Cowboy Church for their beautiful compassion and support during this difficult time. Memorial donations in Mr. Rudy Brzus' name may be made directly to S.T.A.R.S., 1441 Aviation Park NE, Box 570, Calgary, Alberta T2E 8M7.
