Shawn "Foose" M. Matwie

With great sadness we share that Shawn "Foose" M. Matwie of the Rimbey, Alberta area passed away suddenly, as a result of a work-place accident, on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at the age of 38 years.
Shawn will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his best friend and companion Krista of Ponoka; his three sons Corvin of Swan Hills, Jace and Lane both of Blackfalds; and his daughter Aria of Ponoka; as well as his parents Margaret Hummel of Rocky Rapids, Alberta, and Don Matwie of Rimbey. Shawn will also be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by three brothers Jason Matwie of Edmonton, Scott Matwie (Sherry Spath-Hoyt) of Acadia Valley, Alberta, and Zane Matwie of Red Deer; his mother- and father-in-law Maxine and Don Mueller of Ponoka; and his brother-in-law Kyle (Regan) Mueller of Spruce Grove; in addition to several other relatives and many close friends.
A Memorial Service Celebration of Shawn's Life will be held at the Moose Hall, Highway 2A, Ponoka on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. with Curtis Emes hosting.
