June 2, 1998 - October 9 , 2011

It is with great sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of our little Shelby. Shelby passed away October 9th, 2011 at the Alberta Children's Hospital in Calgary, with her family by her side.

Shelby will be forever missed by her Mom, Julie, Dad, Willy, brother, Karsen, and her sister, Jacey. Also lovingly remember by, aunties and uncles, Maria (Marty) Lokos, Carla (Rick) Hansford, Laurie Van Tighem (Darren Fillian), Annette (Noel) Lokos, cousins, Wes, Andrew, Bailee and Lane. Her grandparents, Katie and John Gross, aunties and uncles, Dave (Sarah) Entz, Margaret (Dave) Kleinsasser, Katie (Paul) Kleinsasser, Debbie (Phillip) Kleinsasser, and many cousins. Shelby was predeceased, by her grandparents, Albert and Shirley Van Tighem, and Joseph Entz.

Shelby was born June 2nd, 1998, in Red Deer Alberta. Shelby was raised in the Bluffton area, and attended the Bluffton School, where special memories and friendships were created. Shelby was constantly busy, whether tending to her animals she loved so much, or preparing a favourite dish. She had a passion for cooking; we enjoyed many of her special dishes. She was also involved with dance and a member of the softball team. She enjoyed jumping on the tramp, swimming, hanging out with friends and family, and spending time at the lake.

Shelby was an amazing little person who brought sunshine and joy into our world every day. She had a kind and caring heart, always putting the concerns for others before her own. Shelby has taught us all so much about life and love, and we will miss her sweet voice and famous one liners. We are so proud of her courage and strength as she faced each day with grace while battling cancer. We know this world was a better place because she was in it, and we know that heaven will be too.

Forever loved and remembered.

A celebration of Shelby's life was held on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the Rimbey Community Centre. Service officiated by Reverend Deborah Laing.
