Stanley "Lorne" Jones at the age of 88, passed away in his sleep surrounded by family at the Rimbey Hospital on Saturday, December 16, 2017.
He was born September 30, 1929 to Arthur and Hazel (Duff) Jones in Red Deer, Alberta.
On September 30, 1956, he married Helen Czwil.
Lorne was predeceased in death by his parents; his sister, Audrey; and his four brothers, Lloyd, Melvin, Sidney, and Larry.
Survivors include his wife, Helen; his six children, 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren: daughter, Willow Jones; granddaughter, Elise, great granddaughter, Ella of Sherwood Park; son, Wesley (Cathy) Jones of Winnipeg, granddaughters, Lindsey, Leah, great-grandson, Jasper; daughter, Connie (James) Kluczny of Winfield, grandchildren, Pamela, Patrick, great-grandchildren, Max and Gwen; son, Randy (Margie) Jones of Millet, grandchildren, Nadine, Nicole, Dallas and Christy, great grandchildren, Aidan, Jaxton, Theo, Kenleigh, Benton, Amos and Maisey; son, Murlen (Carol) Jones of Winfield, grandchildren Shallyn, Nicholas and Taylor; daughter, Crystle (Roger) Priestley of Edmonton; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive him.
A time of gathering will be held on Friday, December 29 at 2:00 p.m. at the Winfield Recreation Centre in Winfield, Alberta
