Velma Doreen Sturm of Chinook, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre ~ Long Term Care on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at the age of 86 years.
Velma will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her two daughters, Katheleen Sturm of Vancouver, B.C.; and Chantelle (Daniel) Dube of Rimbey; as well as six cherished grandchildren: Amanda, Tyler, Pam, Cristen, Bret, and Josh; and one great grandson, Simon.
She will also be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by two brothers, Leonard (Beverly) Stroh; and Jim (Cindy) Stroh, both of Medicine Hat; and one sister, Nina (Melvin) Rath, also of Medicine Hat; in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Velma was predeceased by her beloved husband, Sam in 1991; her son, Tommy in 1983; her daughter, Debbie in 2009; her son-in-law, Bevin in 1999; and one sister, Dolores Dirk in 1986.
A Family Service in Celebration of Velma's Life will be held in Chinook, Alberta at a later date.
Cremation took place at the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer. Interment will take place in the Chinook Cemetery, Chinook.
