GRUNDY
1933 ~ 2014
With heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Venice "Gay" Grundy of Rimbey, Alberta at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre ~ Area Two on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at the age of 81 years.
Gay will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her children: two daughters, Larke (Gary) Newell of Panama; and Twyla Grundy of Red Deer; and two sons, Mark (Tammy) Grundy of Rimbey; and Rod (Kory) Grundy also of Rimbey; as well as nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Bill in 1973; her sister, Vi Nikirk; and two brothers, Clifford and Virgil Monteith.
A Public Funeral Service in Honour of Gay's Life was held at the Rimbey United Church, Rimbey on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Deborah Laing officiating. Interment followed in the Mount Auburn Cemetery, Rimbey.
