Feb. 8, 1926 – Apr. 12, 2014

On the early morning of April 12, 2014, Violet passed away peacefully of natural causes at the Extendicare Hillcrest Nursing Home in Calgary, at the age of 88 years. Violet was always a kind, gentle, loving and giving soul to family, friends and those in the community. Her home baked goods were regularly delivered to those who were in her thoughts and heart. Violet was a long time devout member of the United Church. Violet was pre-deceased by her childhood sister Bertha, sisters; Irene and Alice, brothers; Robert and Roy, parents; Joe and Mollie, and her husband Frank. Violet is survived by daughters Bernice, and Callise (Myrna) Kayden of Calgary, grandsons; Trevor (Marion) Webb of St. Albert and Bradley (Laurie) Webb of Grande Prairie, 5 great-grandchildren, 2 step-great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and sister Beatrice Wuth of Lethbridge. Special thanks go to Dr. Heaton, Dr. Lawton and the Hillcrest staff for their personalized, loving care. Violet sadly struggled with Alzheimer’s which was a sincere heartache for all those who loved her. We request that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Alberta 10531 Kingsway Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta T5H 4K1. A private graveside service was held at the Vig Cemetery on Monday, April 21, 2014. Details for a memorial service will be announced at a later date. Condolences may be made by visiting
