1969-2015
It is with great sadness the family of Zane Paul Garnick of Rimbey Alberta, announces his sudden passing following a tragic accident at his home, on April 29, 2015 at the age of 45 years.
Zane was born May 20,1969 in Eckville Alberta to Zoley and Carole Garnick. Zane married Denise Scholing August 24, 1991 and together they had 4 children; Colemen, Dayne, Kelcie, and Keefer.
Zane worked as a pipeliner following high school and then got his class one drivers licence and went trucking. All through these jobs, farming remained his ultimate goal. So, while working as an oilfield operator he began building up a cow herd at his parents farm. Zane's career focus eventually became operating alone. Zane was highly respected in the oilfield for his work ethic and dedication. He did his best to teach these qualities to his children. When not at work Zane enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, driving his Teryx and working on things in his shop with his kids. Zane is predeceased by his parents; Zoley and Carole. Zane is survived by his wife of 23 years, Denise and their four children Colemen, Dayne, Kelcie, and Keefer, as well as parents in laws Andy and Tina Scholing, sister in laws and their families, numerous aunts and uncles and cousins.
A Celebration of Zane's life was held from the Peter Lougheed Community Centre in Rimbey, Alberta on Thursday May 7, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Brian Allan officiating.
