Help Steeves be Small Town Hero

Congratulations to Erin Steeves for making it into the top 10 in the UFA Small Town Heroes contest.

Dear Editor:

Congratulations to Erin Steeves for making it into the top 10 in the UFA Small Town Heroes contest. That means Erin has already won $2,500 for the community charity of her choice.

Kudos to the Rimbey Review for their commendable job covering this contest.

Three things that I want to highlight:

1. If Erin wins first or second place, it’s really Rimbey who wins. $10,000 will be awarded to the community organization of Erin’s choice and Rimbey will win a Paul Brandt concert.

2. People can vote online every 24 hours. Just Google UFA Small Town Heroes and go to Nominees Gallery. The votes count for 10 per cent. As of Aug. 23, based on votes, Erin is in third place with the person in fourth moving up quickly.

3. I would suggest that when you vote, a specific comment about how Erin has affected you or your family might be helpful to the UFA panel of judges.
