Dear Editor,
With the upcoming Municipal elections in sight, I sincerely hope we can attract candidates with a strong background in honesty. It appears far too often that power begets corruption.
I am not totally green to the workings of the Ponoka County council and I would like to suggest to prospective candidates that if they win a seat on Ponoka County Council to not let the wool get pulled over their eyes believing that they are accountable to the County CAO.
The truth is the County CAO is accountable to the elected councillors.
For all councillors both seasoned and new let’s make honesty, integrity and accountability real attributes not just buzz words.
