It's been a good run for me

It's hard to believe it's been almost three years working for the Rimbey Review. Time sure does fly.

I've enjoyed working for this paper so much. You can really get a sense of the tight knit community. I've enjoyed telling people's stories and covering the many wonderful events.

April 1 will be my last day writing stories for the Rimbey Review, but you can still catch my articles in various publications through central Alberta, as I will continue writing, just not in the same capacity.

It's been a good ride, and I'm looking forward to continuing to write, but it's definitely been a bit of a juggling act. Life has definitely thrown my husband and me some big curveballs lately, and I'm looking forward to having a bit more time to deal with those, like my son's Type 1 Diabetes diagnosis, for one.

I've said this time and time again, but I've loved having the opportunity to still work and be a stay-at-home mom. It's truly been the best of both worlds. I never thought I'd be a stay-at-home mom in my past, but when you get in the role of raising babies, it's such an enriching time, not to mention busy. I honestly couldn't imagine going back to work full time at this moment in my life, as there is just so much going on, but being able to still write stories, which I love, during my boys' nap time has also been incredible. It's so important to still take part in your passions, especially as a mom, as you do so much for others, that it's important to still take care of yourself and do what you love.

As I take a bit of a step back, I will remember my time fondly. It's been so much fun getting to know people in the community, and cover the various events in and around Rimbey. I've enjoyed it greatly.

It's now time to embark on a new journey, but still enjoy writing stories, which I'm so grateful for. Changes can be hard sometimes, but they can also be exciting.

Now is the time to really focus on my boys, as their schedules are getting quite busy with sports, school events and family time in general. It's a busy season of life one would say, and I'm excited about it. I like it when life is busy, as it makes things more exciting!

I've loved writing these columns and sharing what's been on my mind. Thank you for reading along, and I'm sure you will see some of my articles in the future!
