Dear Vendors and Market Friends,

We are getting ready for the upcoming season, and looking at creative ways to work within the current COVID-19 context. The good news is that we are still here as strong and committed as ever!

Given the restrictions on social gathering as well as the late start to warmer spring weather, we will not be holding a market the first weekend in May. Rather, we are going to aim to have our first official Saturday Market in the Park on June 6.

Meanwhile, we are enhancing our presence on social media and will soon start sharing market related information, including updates on our season’s plans, gardening tips and helpful hints, as well as highlighting our fabulous vendors.

This year is also our 40th anniversary, making the Rimbey Farmers Market one of the longest standing markets in Alberta! To celebrate our 40th we will be holding contests, organizing special events, and including our vendors and customers in lots of new and creative ways.

So, welcome everyone to our enhanced online presence as well as the start of another season of fabulous Markets in the Park!

Below, we’re sharing some current info from the Alberta Farmers’ Market Association and Alberta Agriculture and Forestry around markets and the COVID-19 pandemic for your information.
