Local submitter disdusted by garbage strewn on highways, countryside

'Tis a beautiful day on our part of the province, all was well till I came on a black plastic bag full of garbage at the southbound lane of Highway 20.

Dear Editor;

'Tis a beautiful day on our part of the province, all was well till I came on a black plastic bag full of garbage at the southbound lane of Highway 20. It was disgusting and most irritating to say the least.

In any event, I stopped and picked up the mess - no, I am not a hero, but simply do not understand why. Anyway, I turned onto the Parkland Beach Road and surprise, there on the centre of the road, just east of the railroad crossing, was a scattering of fast-food wrappers and a couple of drink containers.

Absolutely disgusting, unacceptable, stupid and inconsiderate.

My reaction: if you cannot respect the pristine countryside, you need to stay home and throw your trash in your own backyard, throw your garbage over the fence in the neighbour's yard or somewhere else.

Please, quit demonstrating your immature, near-sighted, self-centered, inconsiderate stupid - sorry I cannot think of more flattering descriptions to add at the moment.

If it's not too much to ask, perhaps you would forward tour address or vehicle description as I could easily drop by your address to drop off my garbage in your vehicle.

One last observation: do not blame this strictly on the young people in the area because that is without a doubt, not true. Look in the mirror and tell yourself you didn't do it.

Hopefully this letter is not beyond your ability or level of understanding.

Have a fine day and keep your garage, or at least do not theow it about the countryside.
