I wish to publicly express appreciation to my MLA, Joe Anglin, and to Rimbey’s mayor, Sheldon Ibbotson.
The rail disaster at Lac Magentic this past summer demonstrated to Anglin and Ibbotson that perils will be presented to our community when the rail loading at Rimbey’s western outskirt comes into operation.
They sought to gain understanding of the risks and mitigation thereof, by exploring the exceptional rail safety record of the Rimbey Keyera Gas Plant.
Keyera’s Calgary office very gladly extended an invitation to Joe and Sheldon to tour our Rimbey facility and share their industrial expertise.
We are fortunate as a community to have elected officials and a corporate citizen dedicated to our well being and willing to cooperate for our betterment.
