Rimbey resident Ruth Donald has spent the last month turning her living room and home into a miniature Christmas wonderland.

Her sister from Red Deer came down at the end of October to help her set up the village, which took three days to set up initially but houses and props get added on a daily basis now.

“It’s something I have really enjoyed, my friends and family keeping adding to it. I’ve seen a picture from when I first started, I had about ten houses and that’s gotta be about twenty years ago,” said Donald. The village has grown over the years, now nearing 100 houses and countless little scene add-ons.

She opened her home to visitors starting Nov. 20 and anyone wanting to view hundreds of pieces that make up here Christmas Village can do so through by booking an appointment at 403-843-2618.
