The Bentley Generals Senior AAA hockey team has a second Allan Cup championship to celebrate and wants to acknowledge the great support they have from sponsors, fans, volunteers, and families.
They are hosting a family celebration with a Bentley Generals team and staff parade on Saturday, June 15 starting at 5 p.m. in downtown Bentley where supporters will have a chance to see them and cheer.
The parade will be followed by a free family barbecue with all the trimmings at the Bentley Arena on the ice surface.
The Allan Cup will be in attendance and there will be a “meet and greet” with chances for photo taking and autograph signing.
MP Blaine Calkins will make a presentation, and a Powerpoint presentation showing team highlights is planned.
A dance with a deejay will round out the evening.
Some Bentley Generals merchandise may be available for sale.
The Generals first won the cup in 2009 and are the first Alberta team to win it more than once.
