The Bluffton Bulldogs Fastball Club wrapped up a very successful season in the Highway 21 league. The bulldogs play the other six teams a home and away game during the finals.

With only one loss during the season, Bluffton players were given the right to host all their playoff games at home. Bluffton came out hitting as they beat Huxley 13-2 in the first game.

Game 2 was a nail bitter with a 9-8 win over Great Bend. Top spot in the A pool brought second spot in the B pool with Elnora coming to Bluffton for the semifinal game.

Bluffton scored seven runs in the sixth inning to win 16-6. Huxley won the other semifinal game to get another crack at Bluffton.

A packed stands got treated to a wonderful game with Huxley holding the lead most of the game. In the bottom of the seventh inning Bluffton scored three runs to tie the game forcing an extra inning. Huxley scored two runs in the top of the eighth inning forcing the Bulldogs to score three runs in the bottom to win 11 - 10.

This is Bluffton’s fourth championship in the five years they have been in the league. The Bulldogs Fastball Club appreciate the fan support very much and were thankful to host the finals at Bluffton.
