The Bentley Generals will be taking their high-flying. high-octane show on the road to the big city in their quest for a Chinook Hockey League championship.

The Generals announced last week that they will be playing their home games in the league final at the Centrium in Red Deer where they will face the Stony Plain Eagles in the best-of-seven provincial AAA final.

The Generals reached the final after making quick work of the Fort Saskatchewan McEwan Chiefs after sweeping them from the playoffs in a four-game sweep.

Not only did the Generals dominate the scoreboard in the series, but they also held the Chiefs to just one goal in the four games with goaltenders Bryce Wandler and Scott Galenza combining for three shutouts.

On the other side of the coin are the Stony Plain Eagles who caught and passed the Generals on the last weekend of play to secure first place and home-ice advantage in the finals.

The Eagles also swept their last opponents – the Innisfail Eagles, and will host the Generals in Game 1 of the final which begins this Saturday, March 8.

From there, the series will go back and forth between locations with Game 2 scheduled for Sunday, March 9 in Red Deer with a 6:30 p.m. starting time.

Game 3 back in Stony Plain will be played on Saturday, March 15 while Game 4 in Red Deer goes on Wednesday, March 19 beginning at 8 p.m.

If necessary, Game 5 will be played on Friday, March 21 with Game 6 going the following night. A date and time for Game 7 has yet to be determined by the league.

Tickets for the Red Deer portion of the series are currently available through Ticketmaster and including service charges are priced at $14 for adults, $11 for seniors and $8 for children.
