Stingy defense was the key to the series sweep for the Generals as they outscored the Chiefs 28-1 during the clash with goaltenders Bryce Wandler and Scott Galenza picking up two victories each with Galenza allowing the only goal against of the entire series.

The Generals are also leading the way in the playoff scoring race as forward Terry Ryan leads the pack with two goals and eight assists in four games for 10 points. In third place in the scoring race is teammate Sean Robertson who has added three goals and six assists for nine points while Mark Woolf holds down fifth place with three goals and five assists for eight points.

In the league’s other semi-final, the regular season’s top team has also advanced after another for-game sweep.

Back at home this past Saturday night, Stony Plain put a stranglehold on the series with a 6-3 win and finished off Innisfail on Sunday night ending the series with a 5-2 win.
