Caitlin Buist and Erin McFadden from Rimbey helped their volleyball team, the Sylvan Lake Varsity Club, win silver at the 18U provincials volleyball championships held in Edmonton April 26 and 27. They entered the tournament ranked ninth out of 22 teams in Division 2.
They started off Saturday morning in a close match winning 26-24, 26-24 over Fort St. John Ice that set the pace for the rest of the weekend. They went on to win six consecutive matches and did not drop a set until the finals losing in two to the number one seed EKVC from East Kootenay B.C.
