Alder Flats 4-H Multi Club

We started with curling before our meeting with our Outdoors Club. We played some games, then we had our 4-H meeting.

We have a new member, Amy Steeves. The cellphone recycle locations are at BMC School, Alder Flats School, Winfield School, Eco Café, Alder Flats Post Office and Raven Meadows Golf Course. Please put your old cellphones, cords, and batteries in our boxes to recycle. Thank you to the businesses and schools for letting us put up our boxes.

Santa’s Anonymous: We each took presents to our schools.

Some new members may go to winter camp. No one is going to Multi Species Judging this year from our club. We are going to do a club activity day then, a trip to Banff to do ice walking.

Meagan Patten received a scholarship again this year from 4-H.

Outdoors: In November we did rock wall climbing at Sylvan Lake (fun and hard). We did tobogganing at the Magnusons’ in December and had soup that we brought something for. Then we went Christmas caroling in Winfield. Curling was fun, but the ice was wet so we didn’t have a game.

Leadership/Creative Options: Erin Woods met with Anthony Kovats, a reporter. He gave her an assignment to do an interview and take pictures. Shelby Patten is planning the public speaking day.
