The Rimbey 4-H Club had its first meeting on October 5 at Rimbey Neighbourhood Place. Thank you for the use of your meeting room.

After nominations and voting we have a new president: Megan Valstar. The general leader staying is Mariann Valstar and the beef leader is John Trenson. Also we have a new cooking leader, Ashley Balan. Congratulations to you all!

Our first beef weigh in was on Sunday October 20. Thank you to the Sekura Livestock Ltd./Rimbey (formerly Rimbey Auction Mart) for the use of your facilities and thanks to Jeff Fritz for helping us weigh. We have some good looking calves this year. Make sure to put our Show and Sale on your calendar: May 11.

We also had a guest speaker to help educate us. Thanks to Darryl Freisen.

Lastly, our cookers had their first meeting October 21 in the high school cooking room. The kids made a pumpkin square with lots of icing. Thank you to the school for the use of the classroom.

The 4-H club will be delivering phone books Nov 15 to Dec 10.
