On March 30, the Blindman River Ladies Club visited the residents of Rimbey Hospital Long Term Care, serving angel food cake with dream whip and crushed pineapple.

They also had entertainment for the residents by Viola Schneider on piano and Robert Juuti singing and playing guitar.

“The seniors just love it,” said Irene Steeves, president of the Blindman River Ladies Club.

Now that COVID has died down, the ladies have started their visits again.

“We had ladies from the Blindman River area come with their little kids and the seniors just love little kids. It was a real good day. The seniors are tapping their toes, some of them are singing if they know the song. It really is a good day up their for them.”

The ladies club has been around for over almost 90 years. Meetings are held the first Monday of every month at the Blindman River Hall, and new members are always welcome.
