STEVENSON

It is with great sadness that we announce that Delbert Dallas Stevenson of Rimbey, Alberta passed away at the Mazankowski Heart Institute, Edmonton on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the age of 74 years.

Delbert was born on December 21, 1939, the youngest of four children born to Marie and Wallace Stevenson. He grew up in the Lockhart area, where he spent most of his time trapping and helping on the farm. Delbert was united in marriage to Joyce Johnston of Rimbey on October 26, 1962, and together they raised two children, Donna and Dallas. Delbert spent many years hunting, fishing and camping, and he took many trophies home from the Fish and Game Association. He also loved to play baseball, he coached many hockey games, and he never missed watching "his" Oilers games and curling. Delbert learned to make ice at the curling rink and spent many hours there, where he enjoyed curling and being with his friends.

"Delbert will be sadly missed and forever cherished

in the hearts of his family and friends."

Delbert will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife, Joyce; his daughter, Donna Wells (Gary Stumpf) of Rimbey; his son, Dallas Stevenson (Kathy Weber) of Thorsby; his daughter-in-law, Wendy Stevenson of Rimbey; as well as his four-legged best friend, Cocoa. He also leaves behind his grandchildren; Chris (Val) Culp, Rosanna (Cody) Watson, Brittany Wells (Quincy Cesna), Haley Stevenson, and Raelyn Stevenson; his great grandchildren; Kade, Kyra, Kian, Peyton, and Savannah; two brothers, Ron (Indra) Hamilton of Ontario; and Bill (Loraine) Stevenson of Bentley; and two brothers-in-law, Russ Robson of Rimbey; and Lloyd (Helen) Johnston of Red Deer; in addition to many nieces and nephews.
