1963 ~ 2012
Jody Lynn Davison of Rimbey, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre, Rimbey on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the age of 48 years.
Jody was born in Calgary on November 2, 1963, and spent her childhood and obtained her schooling in Pincher Creek, Alberta. Following graduation, Jody furthered her education by earning a diploma in Rehabilitation Services from the Lethbridge College, her Bachelor of Education from the University of Calgary, and her Masters in Education from the University of Alberta in Edmonton. Her teaching career began in Calgary, then she moved to Wabasca, Alberta in 1991, and finally to Rimbey in 2009. Jody held a special love for teaching, with a passion for special needs and high school English. She was a remarkable mother, daughter, sister, teacher and friend…and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Jody will be lovingly remembered by her two cherished children, Dru and Kent; her parents, Jim and Wilma Davison of Pincher Creek; and her sisters, Karen (Kevin) Wesko and their children, Sydney (Brett), and Blair all of Lethbridge; and Christi (Robin) Severtson and their children, Ty, Trent, Mitchel, and Cale all of Spruce View. She will also be lovingly remembered by her extended family of many uncles, aunts, and cousins, in addition to many special friends.
A Celebration of Jody’s Life was held at the Rimbey United Church, Rimbey on Monday, February 6, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Deborah Laing officiating. Cremation took place at the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer. Anyone wishing, donations can be made directly to the Davison Children Trust Fund at any Servus Credit Union.
