Meryl Hayes of Rimbey, Alberta, formerly of Winfield, Alberta, passed away peacefully at the Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre – Area Three on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at the age of 90 years.
Meryl will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her beloved children: one son, Wayne (Angela) Hayes of Winfield; and two daughters, Sharon (Garry) Hoy of Sylvan Lake; and Wendy Hayes of Red Deer; as well as eight cherished grandchildren and five great grand-children. She will also be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her brother, Lyle (Gladys) Robbs of Rimbey; and her sister, Gloria Knauft of Calgary; in addition to numerous other family members and close friends. Meryl was predeceased by her husband, Ernest in 1992; and two brothers, Lorne and Jimmy Robbs.
A Public Graveside Service in Celebration of Meryl’s Life will be held today, Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., at the West Haven Cemetery, Rimbey with the Reverend David Holmes officiating.
