June 26, 1943 - April 19, 2024

In loving memory ~

Ruth Irene Alreich (Froehlick/Lowe) passed away peacefully on April 19, 2024. She was born June 26, 1943 in Lethbridge, Alberta to Thomas and Edith Lowe. Two years later, her brother John joined the family. The Lowe family later moved to Victoria, BC, before experiencing a significant loss with the passing of Thomas when Ruth was just 8 years old. Edith relocated her 2 young children to Veteran, Alberta where she married Warren Whitnack. Two more siblings, Alfred and Linda, were welcomed into the family.

In 1960 Ruth married John Froehlick, and they resided in Coronation raising their four children: Danny, Michelle, Cindy, and Kandy. Together, the family operated Little John's Service from 1971 to 1995. Operating a family business took much of their time, however, Ruth and John enjoyed regular weekends to their permanent holiday trailer in Sylvan Lake and later at Buffalo Lake.

After John's passing in 2001, Ruth's journey took her to Rimbey, Alberta. Ruth found love once again with Dawayne Aldrich, whom she married in December 2002. Ruth found joy in her work at the Fields store, and relished in the adventures she and Dawayne shared during their retirement, traveling across Canada and cheering on their grandchildren at sports events. The loss of Dawayne in 2013 marked another chapter in Ruth's life.

Ruth found solace in simple pleasures in her later years, enjoying puzzles and treasured conversations with her dear friend Ken.

Ruth is survived by Danny (Anita) Froehlick; Sheldon, Kurtis (Stephanie), Karly (Allan), Michelle Colvin; Shaun (Jackie), Connie, Angie, Cindy (James) Lang; Natasha (Ryan), Brent, Kandy (Margo) Froehlick Matthew (Niina), Zachary, and numerous great grandchildren.

Brothers John (Bev) Lowe and Alfred (Betty) Whitnack, sister Linda (Trevor)Welsh, and sister-in-law Jean Lowe.

The family will celebrate Ruth's life with a memorial on June 8, 2024 in Coronation, Alberta.
