The RCMP and Alberta’s integrated traffic units are emphasizing the safety of young drivers this month.

Bentley School will host the 18th annual Missoula Children’s Theatre performance at 7 p.m. on May 8.

The Baying Buffoons, Rimbey’s amateur theatre group, is putting the finishing touches on the romantic comedy, Beau Jest. The play will be presented April 23, 24, 29 and 30 at the Rimbey Community Centre.

In light of the current economic crisis gripping much of the globe, the bottom falling out of the price of oil and threats from United States President-elect Barack Obama that they will be seeking more environmentally friendly sources of energy, Alberta’s position as an oil-producing giant globally has taken a very precarious turn and now finds itself with the very real possibility of being left on the outside looking.

The Anglican Church Centennial celebrations are on going. A history book is almost ready to go however there is still time for anyone who has, or has had, connections with the Church of the Epiphany to submit an article.

2008 is a special, activity-packed year as Rimbey’s Anglican Church of the Epiphany congregation celebrates the centennial of the parish in this community.
